Miss World organization, through their official social media, announced the results of the Head-to-Head Challenge as the five winners won a spot in the Top 40 for the finale. These winners represented their Beauty with a Purpose projects at the finale of Head-to-Head Challenge held on 23rd February 2024 at the The Summit Room in Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Lesego Chombo, representing Botswana, was one of the five winners of the challenge. She spoke about her G20 topic Sustainable Development Goals and the work she has done under the ‘Genesis Project’. The Genesis Project is a children’s development program which aims to open the minds of the children and increase their exposure to the outside world and opportunities.

“The project implements educational activities from an artistic perspective where the children are introduced to artistry, arts and crafts, learning music instruments, career & entrepreneurship education, confidence & self-validation coaching, games and fun, to ultimately get them to become open to a life beyond academics in school. The goal of this initiative is to reshape their perspective by adding value to their cognitive development and planting a seed that that they will grow with”, Chombo quoted.

On winning the challenge and the direct spot in the Top 40, Chombo wrote, “I feel honored to have been selected as a Miss World - Head2Head winner. I was presenting on the G20 topic ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ in the same room where world leaders held the G20 summit. The work we do under the Genesis Project aligns with these goals and I’m excited to have shared that link with the world.”
