Binibining Pilipinas 2019 contestants impressed fans during Talent Competition

 

The journey of the 56th edition of Binibining Pilipinas i.e. Binibining Pilipinas 2019 kicked off on Saturday, 30th March 2019 at Farmer’s Plaza in Cubao where 17 out of top 40 contestants vying for the crown got a chance to represent their talent in the significant Talent Competition of the national pageant. Beauty pageants are not just about mere physical beauty or outward appearances only. The stunning contestants of Binibining Pilipinas 2019 proved exactly that by showcasing their talent and skills and left the crowd in awe.

Many contestants took the centre stage to give dance and song performances while others created magnificent pieces of artwork and paintings on the spot. Some of the Filipinas gave an exquisite glimpse into their folk culture by performing ethnic dance and folk songs. The Talent Competition was judged by Bb. Pilipinas 2018 Miss International Ahtisa Manalo, Bb. Pilipinas 2018 Miss Grand International 2018 Eva Patalinjug, and Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman.

Ilene Astrid de Vera from Mandaue performed a Hawaiian dance wearing a floral top and a grass skirt and left everyone in the audience wonderstruck. Hannah Consencino Arnold from Masbate showcased a folk dance, April May Short from Zamboanga City also gave a glimpse into her native culture by performing a native dance, Samantha Mae Bernardo from Palawan performed a native dance in a beautiful red dress and Emma Mary Tiglao from Pampanga showcased a beautiful folk dance.  Larah Grace Lacap contestant who hails from Quezon City presented a modern dance for the talent competition with back up dancers and wowed the fans.

Francia Papa Layderos from Libon channelized her inner artist by creating a beautiful glitter painting.  Marie Sherry Ann Tormes from Polangui, Albay sang a classic “I Believe” and left the crowd quite fascinated. Meanwhile, Sigrid Grace Flores, 26-year-old beauty from Iloilo and Malka Shaver from Zamboanga Sibugay bedazzled the crowd with their sweet vocals. Sigrid sang an inspirational song for the crowd whereas Malka sang a heart-warming song for her mother.

Dennis Amorog painted a creative photo of Mayon Volcano. In addition to this, Jessarie Dumaguing from Puerto Princesa and Gazini Christiana Ganados from Talisay, Cebu, took to the stage and gave an enchanting belly dancing performance. Cassandra Chan showed her skills in ballet dancing. Dia Nicole Mancao Magno presented a Christian-Muslim dance. Mary Faye Murphy performed a song and gave a hip-hop dance performance full of swagger. Alannis Reign Binoya sang Beyoncé’s hits such as “Crazy in Love” and “Halo” while moving to the rhythm.

It will be interesting to see what rest of the contestants bring to the stage in the Talent competition of Binibining Pilipinas 2019.
