Countries all over the world are changing their criterion of organising pageants by introducing something new to the pageants. Mexico too is making sure to make the necessary changes for its Miss Earth sector. Yes, the Miss Earth Mexico Organisation recently made the announcement that from 2017 the organisation will be holding the pageant during the month of May instead of August, so that the delegate gets proper amount of time to prepare for the gala finale. Isn’t that fantastic?

The official announcement made by the Organisation on its Facebook Official Page is given below...

“We are pleased to welcome them in this way; to recognize that thanks to you all, we've been moving and growing up, I would like to thank the being on the lookout for our queens and every move you make. Thank you.

It is of our interest, to inform you that as part of the changes we are making in our contest, you will find the change of date in the Miss Earth México 2017.

From the following year our national competition will be in the month of may, this in order to be able to have more time to prepare our National Representatives, which implies change in the dates of state pageants.

We'll visit each of the states of the country in search of the best competitors for our contest, we will go in search of women who are willing to be of our country and the planet.

We want to continue growing, we must keep learning and together, you and us we will make every national event a real celebration for the preservation of the environment.

Mexico had a four years amazing streak of Top 16 placement, which was broken last year. With such extensive search, looks like the country is trying hard to get back the placement. This year Itzel Paola Astudillo will represent the country at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant. Itzel was crowned during the finale held on 27th August 2016 at the Querétaro Centro de Congresos y Convenciones.
