The grand coronation of Femina Miss India 2020 was held on 10th February 2021 at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Mumbai, India where Manya Singh from Uttar Pradesh was crowned Femina Miss India 2020 runner-up by the outgoing Miss India United Continents 2019 Shreya Shanker.

Manya is 19-years-old and stands 170 cm tall. She completed her graduation in Banking and Insurance and is now preparing for further education in Management studies. She believes that education is the strongest weapon one can have and she has always had a high regard for the one who have taught her everything in life. She was also one of our favorites for the title.

Manya’s life journey is no less than an inspirational one as she had to face poverty, domestic violence, and the patriarchal culture that was imposed upon her forcefully. The diva who emerged as one of the strongest contenders for the title had to face a lot while she was growing up but she turned all her obstacles into a positive motivation to emerge as a strong woman that she is today. Sharing her story, Manya mentioned, "At 14, I ran away from all of this. I somehow managed to complete my studies in the day, became a dishwasher in the evening, and worked at a call center at night. I've used washrooms on trains and stations to clean myself and have walked hours to reach places so I could save the rickshaw fare. To uplift my father, my mother, and my young brother, here I am today to show the world that all is possible if you are committed to yourself."

The diva describes her personality as of a lion because she is a living proof that if an individual sets their mind onto something, the courage and motivation in them makes a way for their dreams to happen. Manya mentioned that her mother has a great influence on her as no matter how many difficult situations she had to face; she never gave up. She had impressed everyone with her confidence and strong personality throughout the competition.

Along with Manya Singh being adjudged as the runner-up at Femina Miss India 2020 event finale, Manika Sheokand who represented Haryana was crowned Miss Grand India 2020, and Manasa Varanasi who represented Telangana was crowned Miss World India 2020 at the end of the event finale.

Manya is also inspired by Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra as she explains that the former queen is a woman of substance and Priyanka’s quote; “Why do you want to fit inside a glass slipper when you can shatter the glass ceiling,” has made a huge impact on Manya. The diva is going to use her platform to create awareness and educate people of the community about the violence faced by the women in the society.

The diva aspires to highlight the violence against women and work towards helping the ones who have faced such issues. She wants to be an inspiration to many young dreamers. She has set an outstanding example to economically challenged people who have carved out their success with positive efforts in achieving their dreams.

Femina Miss India’s jury panel comprised of actors such as Neha Dhupia, Chitrangada Singh, Pulkit Samrat, and renowned designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock and Vaani Kapoor and Aparshakti Khurrana acted as a host for the grand night. The grand finale will be telecast on 28th February 2021 at noon & 5 pm on Colors HD and JioTV.

Congratulations queen!
