With the official announcement from Miss Universe organization that the 70th edition will be held in December 2021 in Eilat, Israel, there are chances that Miss USA organization might have to appoint a representative to compete at Miss Universe 2021. The reason behind the decision could be that Miss USA 2021 was confirmed to be held on November 29 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
With Miss Universe being in December, there will be no time for the new Miss USA to prepare for her stint or not even travel to Israel as the competition will probably start at the end of November. So either Miss USA organization will have to move the competition to an earlier date or appoint Miss USA 2020 first runner-up Kim Layne to represent USA at Miss Universe 2021.
Kim completed her graduation from Cornell University and majored in research. She is currently pursuing a degree in Veterinary from Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Kim Layne is a fan-favourite for the Miss USA 2021 crown. Naturally, Kim has a keen love for animals and medicine which she has combined in her profession. She is of Filipina and Irish descent.
The stunning beauty was introduced to beauty pageants by her friends as she participated in Miss Idaho Teen USA 2012 and won the pageant. Layne also plans to use her platform to raise awareness about the stigmas and associated with neurological conditions. She earlier suffered from narcolepsy, a sleep disorder, and that is why she wants the public to understand the symptoms of neurological diseases like depression, anxiety, and insomnia.
Kim plans to pursue her career in public health, addressing health risks for animals and humans. Kim is also interested in research and providing animals care and public health strategies during natural disasters and emergencies.
What do you think about her chances to represent USA at Miss Universe 2021?
