Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2016 Kristhielee Caride, who was dethroned a month ago, has filed a case against the Organisation. Kristhielee has reportedly filed a $3 million case on the Organisation, under which she demands the return of her crown and the various gifts that she won after being crowned as Miss Universe Puerto Rico.

Kristhielee was stripped off her crown on Thursday (17’ March 2016) after officials said that she had an attitude problem. In an interview with a popular newspaper, Kristhielee’s attitude was criticized and it was said that her behaviour was not very amicable; also she was quoted as saying that she did not love cameras. The beauty queen also suffered from depression a few weeks ago and was admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

Her dethronement was criticized by fans across the world, who said that the reason for her dethronement was silly. Fans also demanded the organisation to take back their decision and reappoint Kristhielee as Miss Universe Pureto Rico 2016.

Krishtielee’s allegations on the organisation are made on the basis of violation of contract and contractual damage. The case has been filed against the PR Crown Entertainment and MU Puerto Rico Organisation Officials including, Desiree Lowry, national director of Miss Universe Puerto Rico. Desiree has however declined to meet Krishtielee’s lawyer.
