The Concurso Nacional de Belleza organization has official announced that Miss Mundo Costa Rica 2020 Andrea Montero will not travel to the 70th edition of Miss World, due to the impossibility of managing her visa to enter the United States.
“As an emergency measure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, ordered a freeze on the issuance of all international tourist visas, which made it impossible to achieve an exception for our reigns despite different efforts. In conjunction with the Miss World organization, the organization decided that the delegate representing the country in the 70th edition should be one of the candidates who have already been chosen for the 2022 edition of Miss Costa Rica,” the organization stated.
Tamara Dal Maso has been officially appointed by the organization as Miss Costa Rica 2021 heading to the Miss World 2021 pageant. Tamara was selected from among 4 candidates who met all the requirements requested by the Miss World international organization to represent Costa Rica, in December in Puerto Rico. Additionally, the 9 candidates of this edition will continue on their way to Miss Costa Rica 2022. The National Beauty Contest will officially crown Tamara Dal Maso in the coming days as Miss Costa Rica 2021.
After the announcement, Tamara took to her social media to share, “Nothing better than this national month to give you the great news that I will take the Costa Rican band once again, now as Miss World Costa Rica 2021, during the 70th edition. My heart bursts with gratitude and emotion for the process that is coming and without a doubt my will and efforts are set on a goal that I want to share with all of you who have supported me.”
She also went on to thank Andrea Montero as she wrote, “Supreme thanks to Andrea Montero for being a part of this in such a humble, regal and sensible way. Thank you because I know that you will have a lot to teach me and I will take your advice to Puerto Rico, as well as I will do my best to represent, as you have done, the values ??that mark us as Costa Rican women.”
This 22 year-old beauty is a neighbor of Jaco and is a student of advertising design and business administration. She is also a young entrepreneur being the Co-Founder and Designer at Trifecta Content Studio, a marketing agency focused on SMEs and projects in development.
Tamara is not new to the pageantry world as in 2019 she was appointed Miss International Costa Rica and represented the country at Miss International, in Tokyo, Japan. Apart from being a model and a business-woman, she divides her day between modelling, supporting social causes and enjoying her time at the beach. She is currently preparing for her international stint with absolute sincerity, dedication and determination.
Congratulations queen!
