Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Ong continues to shine with her strong advocacy and unwavering determination for her ongoing project, the ”I Love My Planet Earth”.

On 12’ March 2016, Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Ong participated at the “I Love My Planet Earth” school tour, wherein she and other earth beauties visited the City of Mandaluyong Science High School in Manila, Philippines.

Reigning Miss Earth Angelia Ong and Miss Earth Air 2015 Dayanna Grageda also attended the opening of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Race to One Million Seedlings nursery at AFPCMO School Ground, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Miss Earth has partnered with the AFP for this project, which aspires to encourage people to participate in the creation of one million seedlings that would be planted in available spots around the National Capital Region.

“We try our best to educate, inspire and encourage on how [students] can take care and preserve the environment,” Angelia shares.

The 25-year-old beauty also revealed on-going talks between Miss Earth and the United Nations (UN), which she hopes will result in a fruitful partnership.

“We’re very blessed enough to have a sit-down meeting with members of the UN in Vienna and now we have a follow-up meeting in the Philippines. I’m very hopeful that we will have a good relationship first before jumping into a partnership because they want to establish a relationship first and assess how can we both grow together; how Miss Earth could help the United Nations and vice versa.”

Joining Ong, were Miss Earth-Air 2015 and Miss Earth Australia 2015 Dayanna Grageda , Miss Earth South Africa 2015 1st runner up Jade Axon, Miss Earth South Africa 2014 Ilze Saunders, Miss Earth South Africa Ambassador Nikita Lagler, Catherine Constantinides and Ella Bella Executive Director’s and International Climate Activists. Ong’s elemental court were also in attendance: Miss Philippines Air 2015 Chanel Olive Thomas, Miss Philippines Fire 2015 Carla Angela Valderrama and Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism 2015 Jona Sweett.
