Stacey Chumba crowned Miss Earth Kenya 2021

The Miss Earth Kenya organization hosted the coronation ceremony of the 2021 edition on 25th September 2021 at the Diamond Plaza, Parlnds, Nairobi, where 14 stunning divas competed for the national title. Stacey Chumba was crowned as the new Miss Earth Kenya 2021 at the end of the event as she won the opportunity to represent Kenya at Miss Earth 2021.

21 years-old Stacey is a third- year law student at the University of Nairobi. Stacey studies Environmental Law and is passionate about environmental conservation. She is currently on a mission to save Lake Bogoria which is threatened by floods and risks merging with Lake Baringo.

After winning the coveted crown, Stacey said, “This is a very great opportunity and I’m very excited. I promise to follow in the footsteps of those before me like the late Wangari Maathai in conservation.” She also took to her social media to share, “I don’t think words can express my gratitude to the Lord Almighty and every single person, who supported me. Thank you all. I also want to thank myself, for never giving up, for never giving into doubt and fear and most importantly, for believing in myself. Thank you.”

 

 

Chumba was crowned by the outgoing Miss Earth Kenya Fridah Kariuki, who urged the contestants to keep the spirit of nature conservation. In the last year’s virtual competition, Miss Earth 2020, Fridah represented Kenya and finished among the Top 20 finalists at the end of the event.

The newly crowned queen, Stacey Chumba will soon represent Kenya at the 21st Miss Earth pageant, which is scheduled to be held virtually in November 2021.
