With the ongoing coronavirus scare all around the world, our pageant queens are not behind in fulfilling their duties in the fight against the pandemic. The stunning beauty queens are not just pretty faces but also intelligent beauty queens who are keeping their lives at stake to improve the situation.

Miss Earth Malta 2019 Alexia Paulina Tabone and Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2017 Shyama Dahanayaka, both registered nurses, are currently fulfilling their duties in their respective countries. While everyone is praying for their safety, we are in awe of these beauties who, without complaining, are back to their duties as medical professionals.

Shyama Dahanayaka was crowned Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2017 in August 2017 as she represented Sri Lanka in 2017. Even though she was applauded for her performance, she failed to win a place in the Top 20.

Alexia Tabone represented Malta in Miss Earth 2019 and gave a spectacular performance. She, unfortunately, failed to place in the Top 20. Both the beauties, since their pageant stints, have been performing their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication. Shyama and Alexia are in the true sense, Beauties for a Cause.

Alexia also posted on the social media as she wrote, “Lord, keep your eyes on me, we are here for you, please stay home for us." Both the beauties have encouraged people to stay at home and isolate themselves from the world to prevent getting the virus while they treat people suffering from the pandemic.
