Merel Hendriksen was crowned Miss Earth Netherlands 2022 at the finale of Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2022 held on 3rd July 2022 at Studio 21 Hilversum as she became the official representative of Netherlands at Miss Earth 2022.

Merel was a strong contender for the national crown since the beginning of the national competition. Merel is 24 years of age and hails from the province of Gelderland. As a profession, Merel works as a Sustainable Interior Designer.

Top 5 also included Miss Beauty of Groningen – Kim Hilshof, Miss Beauty of Zuid-Holland – Merel van Roon, Miss Beauty of Flevoland – Yasmin Lois and Miss Beauty of Noord-Holland – Amber Tamara.

Along with the winner announcement, a few special awards were also presented at the finale; Miss Most Inspiring 2022 is Miss Beauty of Friesland 2022 Rabea Jaeger, Miss Social Media 2022 is Miss Beauty of Zeeland 2022 Dana van Belzen, Miss NXXT 2022 is Miss Teen of Zeeland 2022 Amy Kalisvaart, Miss Charity 2022 is Miss Teen of Noord-Brabant 2022 Jill van de Wiel, Miss Congeniality 2022 is Miss Beauty of Noord-Holland 2022 Amber Tamaraa, Miss Sports 2022 is Miss Beauty of Groningen 2022 Kim Hulshof.

Merel Hendriksen succeeds and was crowned by Miss Earth Netherlands 2021 Saartje Langstraat. She was also a part of the jury along with Anne Brouwer, Miss Teen of the Netherlands 2020/21, Tessa le Congé, President Miss Beauty of the Netherlands, Cees Wiltschut, Director Hairdreams Netherlands, Reggie Henriquez, Catwalk coach Miss Beauty of the Netherlands, Jamie Jongman, LlNDA Foundation, Madieke van de Bijl, Winner The Bachelor Belgium 2022.
