Miss Exclusive 2021 Nisa Van Baelen withdraws participation from Miss Earth 2021

Nisa Van Baelen was crowned Miss Exclusive 2021 and won the opportunity to represent Belgium at the upcoming Miss Earth 2021, earlier this year. In a recent development the Miss Earth Belgium organization took to their social media to announce that Miss Excusive 2021 Nisa will no longer compete and represent Belgium at the upcoming edition of Miss Earth pageant.

While Nisa is currently in Santorini to spend some vacation with the Miss Exclusive family, the organization stated, “Nisa will not compete in this edition of Miss Earth. Because of this virtual edition it’s not possible for Nisa to compete for more than 2 months during contractual agreements with partners & work.”

 

 

Talking about her inability to compete at the international platform Nisa said, “It’s with extreme sadness that I cannot join the beautiful Miss Earth pageant, because of work obligations and partners we have planned. The Miss Earth finale is in December, as it was announced earlier in September, it is not possible for me to compete in this virtual pageant. I wish my successor a lot of good luck, she will do this amazing. It’s not because I am not doing Miss Earth, I will not be continuing to keep fighting for a better earth.”

21 year-old Nisa, hailing from Tessenderlo competed with 14 finalists for the Miss Earth Belgium 2021 title. It was not the first time that Nisa competed in a Belgian national beauty pageant. She competed in Miss Belgium 2020 at the Plopsaland Theater in De Panne, Belgium and finished in the Top 15. As Nisa is stepping down from the opportunity due to her work commitments, the organization will soon be announcing a new name who will represent Belgium at the Miss Earth 2021 pageant.

 

 

Belgium has been competing at Miss Earth since 2014 and is yet to have a Miss Earth placement. The new queen will compete for Belgium’s first Miss Earth crown this December. Miss Earth 2021, will be the 21st edition of the Miss Earth pageant, Lindsey Coffey of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event.
