The Miss Global Philippines organization appointed Shane Quintana Tormes as Miss Global Philippines 2021 in a statement released on 8th November, 2021. "Empowering Women, Embracing Cultures, Embodying the Beauty Within she is unapologetic of her roots, personifies inner beauty at its finest and continues to empower women, and men, with her amazing life story. She is beautiful beyond words. She is intelligent beyond her years. She is Shane Quintana Tormes and she is our new Miss Global Philippines,” said Pauline Sofia Laping, CEO and National Director of the Miss Global Philippines organization.
Shane is an engaging event host and a talented singer, who boasts of an extraordinary portfolio as a pageant veteran. One of the most popular names in the pageant industry in recent years, she was Miss Philippines Fire 2020 as she finished as one of the runners-up at Miss Philippines Earth 2020 held on 5th July 2020 and bagged the Binibining Friendship and Talent special awards at Binibining Pilipinas 2018.
The 29-year-old was raised by her grandparents who instilled the values that have been her anchor to this day. She remembers her grandma, who was a teacher, tagging her along in different outreach activities that opened her eyes to life's difficult reality. And with this, she felt that blessings are meant to be shared to inspire people and better their lives. After her grandma's death, Shane committed herself to following the footsteps and continue the vision of her beloved grandmother.
Shane’s mom, who had been working as a teacher for last 25 years, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Parotid Cancer in late of May this year and passed away recently. Going through trials of life, she holds hope, love and faith near her heart and hopes to make her mother proud at the Miss Global 2021 pageant, which is set to take place in Bali, Indonesia. The diva has already made it through the pre-liminary interview of Miss Global 2021 and will sure put forth a strong delegation for Philippine.

“Life keeps throwing me lemons and I will never get tired of making a lemonade. I’ve been through a lot of adversities for the past months that is not known by everyone and that taught me a lot of things. One important lesson is not every day ‘courage roars’, sometimes it’s the quiet voice inside at the end of the day whispering at you ‘I will not give up, be strong and try again tomorrow’. My greatest takeaway is I gained an extraordinary strength that I know I can use as my weapon for this journey of life,” she shared in a powerful post on her social media.
