The 8th edition of the Miss Grand International i.e., Miss Grand International 2020 was scheduled to be held in the month of October 2020 in the city of Caracas, Venezuela. The delegates from all over the world will compete for the title. At the end of the event, Miss Grand International in 2019 Valentina Figuera from Venezuela, will crown her successor. But due to the pandemic the Miss Grand International Organization has decided to postpone the pageant to early 2021. There hasn’t been any official announcement regarding the pageant’s postponing to 2021 so the confirmation is still awaiting.

Polli Cannabis from Belarus was appointed as the official representative of the country at Miss Grand International 2020 pageant on 28th May 2020. She is 25-years-old and stands 180 cm tall. She has finished her model school from Minsk and currently resides in the city and works as a professional model.

Polli is not new to pageantry as she represented Belarus at Miss Earth 2017 and was appreciated for her performance. She was also a part of Miss Asia Pacific 2016. She has also participated in Colombo Fashion Week, been a model for several agencies which has helped her to gain experience and more intensive knowledge and insights to how beauty pageants work. The people she has worked with has always appreciated the model for being hardworking, dedicated, and quick to learn things. In a whole she has participated in 11 international and 5 national competitions which makes her one of the strongest contenders for the Miss Grand International 2020 title.

The diva feels extremely grateful and blessed that she has been appointed to represent her country of Belarus at Miss Grand International 2020 stage because she would like to use this platform and talk about women empowerment and how much it is the need of the hour. She describes a woman as, “symbol of future, a woman that can lead, be strong, beautiful, realized and self-confident”. She also feels blessed because she believes that all the opportunities that came along her way was the reason why she is so confident and determined with her goals which is now to win the title for her country. On being appointed as Miss Grand Belarus 2020, Polli expressed her happiness with posting a picture with a caption, “I am grateful for that incredible chance and happy to be chosen. I’ll promise to do my best and looking forward to the upcoming pageant”.

Polli is very positive and outgoing person but usually goes back to see her previous performances to improve not only as a model but as a person too. For her being a beauty queen is to be beautiful outside and inside but having achievements beyond the beauty. Being a successful leader, realized in different areas of life. She is very confident and very persuasive with her words which can act as an added advantage to her performance on-stage. She has been studying psychology and using her knowledge to impart wisdom onto her fans and followers across the world with beautiful and hard-hitting captions on social media.

Polli has always aspired to be better and because of that she works very hard and dedicatedly. The crown of Miss Grand Belarus 2020 comes with a responsibility of showcasing the true values of Belarus to the world and embrace the culture and she has been working on the same for the finale night. Since the rumors are flying that Miss Grand International 2020 has been postponed to next year, the delegates get to spend more time for working on themselves, their walk-onstage, body postures, angels and communication and interview-skills.
