At the conclusion of the coronation night of Miss Grand International 2019, the seventh edition of Miss Grand International pageant, Lourdes Valentina Figuera Morales of Venezuela was crowned the new queen. The competition was also hosted in Caracas, Venezuela making it the first time in the history of the pageant that the host country won the crown.
The stunning Venezuelan beauty succeeds and was crowned by Miss Grand International 2018 Clara Sosa who also took the responsibility of hosting this year’s edition. Lourdes Valentina Figuera Morales is 19 years of age and stands a whopping 184 cm tall. She is also the CEO of Fundación Ni Una Sonrisa Menos. She had a lot riding on her sleeves as she was the host country delegate but even then she managed to impress everyone with her brilliant performance. The newly crowned queen’s court included –

This year’s edition began with a few hurdles as the host hotel caught fire at the beginning of the competition. Even then, people turned up for the coronation event in large numbers supporting their favourite with cheers and applause.

Amidst the stellar performances as the delegates took their last walks in swimsuits and long gowns, the accomplished panel of jury took their time and announced the Top 10 who moved forward in the race to the crown - Taylor Marlene Curry Miss Grand Australia 2019, Carmen Irina Drayton Miss Grand Panama 2019, Hazel Marie Ortíz Méndez Miss Grand Puerto Rico 2019, Lourdes Valentina Figuera Morales Miss Grand Venezuela 2019, Mara Stefica Topic Verduga Miss Grand Ecuador 2019, Marjorie Marcelle Corrêa Angelotti Miss Grand Brazil 2019, Arayha Suparurk (Coco Arayha) Miss Grand Thailand 2019, María Fernanda Malo Juvera Raimond Kedilhac Miss Grand Mexico 2019 and Camila Namie Escribens Miss Grand Peru 2019. The last one who made it to Top 10 was the Miss Popular Vote winner who crossed all the previous hurdles to gain a direct entry to the Top and she was none other than Nguyen Ha Kieu Loan Miss Grand Vietnam 2019.

The Top 10 delegates were then cut down to Top 5 as they went through the gruelling question and answer round.
