On 24th July 2020, Barbora Aglerová was crowned Miss Grand Czech Republic 2020 and became the official representative of Czech Republic in Miss Grand International 2020. Within six months of her crowning the Miss Czech Republic organization announced on their social media that Miss Grand Czech Republic 2020 Barbora Aglerova´ will not be able to represent the country at finale event of Miss Grand International 2020 scheduled to take place on 27th March 2021 in Thailand due to a knee injury.
Denisa Spergerová from Czech Republic was appointed Miss Grand Czech Republic 2020 after the former queen Barbora Aglerova hurt her knee while hiking back. The organization announced Denisa’s designation on their social media page as the doctor’s strictly advised Barbora to rest.
For the upcoming edition of Miss Grand international, the organization of Czech Republic announced the designation of Barbora as their new queen to represent the country at Miss Grand International 2021 scheduled to be held in October 2021.
She also took to her social media t share about her disease and the condition, “In April 2018, I was finally diagnosed with Crohn's disease after being to several doctors and getting numerous tests. Yes, I say at last, because it was a huge relief for me. I finally figured out what was wrong with me and started working on it. It's been 3 years since I was treated and despite the fact that I sometimes have a period of relapse, thanks to the right lifestyle I live a full life.”
The diva had also shared earlier that she has faced some problems with her knee because of Crohn’s disease but while she was hiking, her knee was swollen and the doctor had advised her not to use heels and recover. She was devastated with what had happened as she was excited to represent the country at Miss Grand International 2020 and was already preparing herself to fly to Thailand but she is now back with a healthier lifestyle and stronger preparations for the title.
Barbora’s intelligence and sincerity makes her one of the strongest contenders at the grand stage to uphold her country’s name. She is filled with excitement and passion for the title as she has been waiting for it more than a year now. It will be thrilling to see her perform at the grand stage as she returns to her duties after almost a year of her crowning.
