Shahy Hamdy to represent Egypt at Miss Grand International 2021

The Miss Egypt organization has crowned the stunning Shahy Hamdy as the new Miss Grand Egypt 2021. She will represent Egypt at the upcoming edition of Miss Grand International 2021. Hamdy succeeds Miss Grand Egypt 2020 Virgina Hany for the title.

Shahy is 25 years-old and stand 169cm tall. She is an Egyptian flight attendant and an influencer based in Thailand. Shahy was born in Egypt but raised in Thailand. She own her YouTube Channel with almost 20,000 subscribers while more than 225,000 followers on Instagram. She loves to travel to new places and create video. Before being elected as Miss Grand Egypt 2021, she got the title of first runner-up in Miss Elegance and got into the top 12 final contestants in Miss Elegant Prime 2021. Shahy is a mental health advocate and also recently helped the Al Nas People's Hospital, a children's hospital to raise funds based on donations.

Earlier this year, Virgina Hany represented Egypt at Miss Grand International with power-packed performances throughout the competition but unfortunately remained unplaced at the end of the event. The 9th version of Miss Grand International will take place on 4th December 2021 in Phuket City, Thailand, where candidates from more than 60 countries and autonomous territories will compete for the title. At the end of the event, Miss Grand International 2020 Abena Akuaba Appiah from the United States will crown her successor as Miss Grand International 2021.
