The 8th edition of the Miss Grand International i.e., Miss Grand International 2020 was scheduled to be held in the month of October 2020 in the city of Caracas, Venezuela. The delegates from all over the world will compete for the title. At the end of the event, Miss Grand International in 2019 Valentina Figuera from Venezuela, will crown her successor. But due to the pandemic the Miss Grand International Organization has decided to postpone the pageant to early 2021. There hasn’t been any official announcement regarding the pageant’s postponing to 2021 so the confirmation is still awaiting.
Gabriella Jara from Costa Rica was crowned as the official representative of the country at Miss Grand International 2020 pageant on 6th October 2019. She is 22-years-old and passionate about being a beauty queen. She works as an optometric health worker and a professional model.
The diva is beautiful, confident, and positive towards representing Costa Rica at Miss Grand International 2020. She has worked with various designers and brands in Costa Rica which has given the diva experience and knowledge about beauty pageants that has also helped Gabriella to work on herself and finesse her performance for future. The people she has worked with has appreciated her for being very understanding and quick to learn the news techniques and poses they have mentioned to her. They have mentioned that the diva is very hardworking and her desire to win the title will help her in future.
Gabriella feels that women who participate in beauty pageants are stereotyped as just a pretty face which is not true and tries to advocate about the real essence of beauty pageants. She believes that beauty pageants give a platform to the young women who want to bring the change in the society through their hard work and determination and that is something that people don’t understand. She has advocated about self-love, and women empowerment as it is one of the basic yet very essential advocacy that people should be focusing on but tend to ignore it.
Gabriella has always aspired to be better and because of that she works very hard and dedicatedly. The crown of Miss Grand Costa Rica 2020 comes with a responsibility of showcasing the true Costa Rica to the world and embrace the culture and she has been working on the same for the finale night. Since the rumours are flying that Miss Grand International 2020 has been postponed to next year, the delegates get to spend more time for working on themselves, their walk-onstage, body postures, angels and communication and interview-skills. The diva is also working out every day to maintain herself healthy and fit for the competition.
On winning the crown, the diva mentioned that she feels a great responsibility on her mind but she is very confident and determined to execute her duties perfectly. She also feels grateful to her family, friends, and god for the opportunities that have come along her way and helped her shape up in a successful model as she is today. She stated, “I am a representative of the integrity of each one of you women, of your courage, of your dreams, of the hard-working and hard-working that we are.”
With her immense dedication and determination to win the title and make Costa Rica proud, Gabriella Jara can be a strong contender at Miss Grand International 2020. She has time as of now to work on her skills she feels needs more improvement before the finale approaches.
