The crowning moment of Miss Grand International 2018 became almost as memorable as Miss Universe 2015 host Steve Harvey’s botch. Miss Grand Paraguay 2018 Clara Sosa held hands with Miss Grand India 2018 Meenakshi Chaudhary as the decision was about to be announced. As soon as Clara heard her name, she fainted from happiness right there on the stage making Meenakshi look pretty alarmed.

Several members of the pageant rushed to the stage to help Sosa who recovered moments later as the delegates surrounded her and gave her a tight embrace for her victory. She was then crowned by Miss Grand International 2017 Maria Jose Lora.

With Clara’s win, the Latinas are still dominating the pageant with four titles under their belt since the inception of the competition in 2013. She is 24 years of age and is in the third year in Law School. Along with that, she is a Professional Chef in IGI (Institute Gastronomic International) and a TV Host. Clara stands tall with a height of 174 cm.

As a part of her question and answer round, Clara chose the sensitive topic of the ongoing issues that the Hispano-American countries are facing due to the policies that Donald Trump is advocating. As an answer to the question asked, she chose to visit the President of the United States of America because the nation is an example to other countries and therefore her message to him would be to be an example of peace, love and tolerance.
