INTERVIEW
Q. How does it feel to be crowned Miss Grand South Africa 2018 and now a delegate of Miss Grand International 2018?
I am truly blessed and grateful for this opportunity. It is a dream come true, after working so hard towards the Miss Grand South Africa 2018 title. I am more motivated and determined than ever.
Q. What is the best lesson you have learned in your journey as the delegate of Miss Grand South Africa 2018?
That everything happens in God’s time and not ours.
Q.What is the one thing that keeps you going and inspires you to be the best version of yourself?
My love for life keeps me going and my compassion for others inspires me to be the best version of myself.
Q. You also won most of the special awards at the finale of Miss Grand South Africa 2018. How did that feel?
It’s an incredible yet emotional feeling.
Q. How would you like to represent yourself at the international stage of Miss Grand International 2018?
As a confidently beautiful young woman with strong norms and values.
Q. Who is your ideal, if any and what values of theirs do you wish you could inculcate in your own life, and teach the next generation?
Most definitely Bruce Lee, he has always been one of my biggest inspirations as his life story is such a touching and humbling one. I believe we share the same perseverance and ambition in life by giving our absolute best to reach our goals. No matter how many set backs one receives in life, quitting should not be an option. As Bruce Lee inspires me I hope to inspire others by the legacy I leave behind one day.
Q. If you could be invisible for a day, how would you like to spend it?
I would spend the day trying to figure out how not to be invisible.
Q. Would you like to share your most special childhood memory with us?
The day my brother was born.
Q. What or who empowers you to be yourself and work hard every day?
My family, they believe in my abilities and push me to be a better version of myself each day.
Q. What is the one thing you can label as your guilty pleasure?
For me, nothing beats a freshly baked bread straight out of the oven.
Q. What is that one thing that you ultimately want to achieve?
To have a positive, lasting impact in the world. To leave behind a legacy that inspires, not by who I am, but by the things I did for others. Ultimately, I want to live a meaningful life.
Q. If you are granted 3 wishes right now, what would you ask for?
Firstly, that there would be no hate in the world, only love to give. Secondly, that all the suffering will end, and lastly I wish for everyone to be happy.
Q. Lastly, is there any message that you would like to give to your fans of Angelopedia?
Never take anything for granted, there are people out there that wish they could live the life you live or have the things that you have. Be grateful, kind and love more, the world needs it.
