Miss Grand South Africa organization, in a private ceremony yesterday, crowned Jeanè Van Dam as the new Miss Grand South Africa 2021 as she bested 26 other women to win the national crown. Dam will now represent South Africa at Miss Grand International 2021.
Jeanè Van Dam is 20 years of age and is a student of law at Bong University Australia. On her coronation, Dam took to her official social media to reveal her emotions in a post captioned, “Last night I had the honour of sharing a stage with 26 incredible women. I formed friendships that will never never be forgotten. To all my sisters , I am so proud of how far you've come. May your light continue to shine bright and may you always chase your Grandest dreams.”
“I am writing this message as your new Miss Grand South Africa. Wow, even writing this still feels like a dream. I am humbled to have a platform that will touch the lives of thousands. Together we will make a difference. I hope my journey will inspire young boys and girls to never give up on their dreams. No matter how many times you fail , you have to stand up and try again”, she added.
Dam ended her emotional message as she wrote, “I want to say a big thank you to @lenie_pieterse and Elize Pieterse for entrusting me with this title. I will continue to work hard and make the best of each opportunity I gain from this experience. To all my supporters(nationally and internationally) on days when I felt overwhelmed and scared you guys reminded me of why I started. And I will never be able to thank you enough. I love you guys! To the team who was behind me from the start of my journey. Your continued love and support does not go unnoticed. I would have never been able to do what I love if it wasn't for you. Thank you for believing in me South Africa.”

1st Runner up – Lu Juan Mzyk
2nd Runner up – Danielle Van Zyl
3rd Runner up – Genive Trimble
4th Runner up – Jordan Van Rensburg
Anrónet Ann Roelofsz Miss Grand South Africa 2020 represented her country at Miss Grand International 2020 but unfortunately failed to place in the Top 20. The country is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Grand International.
