Chea Charany crowned Miss International Cambodia 2021

The Miss Cambodia organization hosted the final show for the 2021 edition on 11th October 2021 which broadcasted live on Bayon TV. Stunning delegates from all over the country competed against each other for three coveted crowns and an honour to represent Cambodia at international beauty pageants. Chea Charany from Battambang was crowned as Miss International Cambodia 2021 at the end of the event.

Hailing from Battambang, 26 years old Chea stands 165 cm tall and lives in Phnom Penh. She is a Banking and Finance graduate from Build Bright University, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She is a former Kindergarten and Primary English teacher at USA International School, Battambang and also a former Training Admin Assistant at NagaWorld Hotel and Casino.

 

 

Apart from the Miss International Cambodia 2021 title, Miss Earth Cambodia 2021 title was won by Dam Sopheaksindy and Miss Tourism International Cambodia 2021 title was won by Mao Reaksmy, whereas Moo and Erica Tan were adjudged as the first and second runners-up respectively.

Chea succeeds Miss International Cambodia 2019 Kachnak Thyda Bon who represented Cambodia at Miss International 2019 but remained unplaced at the end of the event. The newly crowned queen, Chea Charany will represent Cambodia at the 60th Miss International Beauty Pageant, the next edition that will be held in the fall of 2022.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan, in June 2020, Miss International organization announced that the annual 2020 competition was cancelled. Now, on 31st August 2021, due to the rising cases caused by the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant, the organization announced that the edition will be rescheduled to the autumn of 2022. In the meanwhile, the reigning queen, Miss International 2019 Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand will continue her reign for another year and crown her successor next year.
