Evanjelin Elchmanar crowned Miss International United Kingdom 2021

The Miss International UK organization hosted the coronation night for the 2021 edition on 24th July 2021 at Park Hall Leisure Club in Preston, where 55 stunning divas competed for the national crown and an opportunity to represent United Kingdom at the upcoming Miss International. Evanjelin Elchmanar, representing West Midlands, was crowned as the new Miss International United Kingdom 2021 at the end of the event as she succeeded Harriotte Lane Miss International UK 2019.

Evanjelin took to her social media to express her gratitude as she wrote, “Thank you for all the kind messages my heart is full. I am proudly your Miss International UK! Congratulations to the finalists of Miss International UK 2021, you were all sensational and I am so great full to have met you all.”

First runner-up: Heather Hopkins

Second runner-up: Kassandra Barker

Resident of Birmingham, West Midlands, England, Evanjelin was the first millennium baby born on Christmas Day in Paris to Sri Lankan parents. She attended the Toronto Academy of Acting for Film and Television in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In 2001, she and her family moved from France to London, England. She is also an ambassador for BSWA, Birmingham & Solihull Women's Aid, an organization dedicated towards providing services to women and children experiencing violence.

 

 

Evanjelin started competing in beauty pageants in 2013 and later in 2015 she represented Birmingham at Miss Junior Teen Great Britain 2015 and finished second runner-up. She was also crowned Miss Teen Great Britain for the year 2017 and finally competed in Miss International UK 2021 as Miss West Midlands International 2020.

She will now start preparing for her international stint scheduled to take place in November in Yokohama City, Kanagawa, Japan. If Evanjelin wins Miss International 2021, she will be third title holder of the Japan-based international pageant from the UK, following Valerie Homes and Linda Hooks, who were crowned in 1969 and 1972, respectively.
