Emilie Boland crowned Miss Luxembourg 2020 for Miss World 2020

Miss Luxembourg 2020 held its coronation night on 25th January 2020 led by Hervé Lancelin, President of the National Committee Miss & Mister Luxembourg since 2017, at La Caravelle in Bertrange. At the end of the event finale, Emilie Boland was crowned the new queen as she succeeded Miss Luxembourg 2019 Melanie Heynsbroek. This was the 93rd edition of the national pageant.

Emilie won the crown after gruelling interviews to reveal the personality of the contestants. She won the challenge of General Culture and modelling challenge. Emily was a flight attendant for 2 years before training at the Chamber of Commerce with the aim of opening her own fashion shop. As stated by the official organization, “Her desire is to share her taste for fashion to the greatest world. Along with the winner, 18-year-old Alessandra Crescenzo was elected First Runner-up and 21-year-old Lynn Heiderscheid was elected Second Runner-up at the end of the event finale.

This year’s jury comprised of Augustin Forquin, Designer Haute Couture, Christian Dior, Paris; Claudia Vitoria Miss Luxembourg 2012, Mélanie Heynsbroek Miss Luxembourg 2019, Maria Pietrangeli editor-in-chief, Women Magazine, Luxembourg, Hervé Lancelin Chairman of the Miss & Mister Luxembourg Committee and Nicolas Tissot member of the Miss & Mister Luxembourg Committee.

Last year, Melanie Heynsbroek Miss Luxembourg 2019 competed in Miss World 2019 and with her stunning performance she placed in the Top 27 at the contest. The country is yet to pioneer its win in Miss World.
