Anne Murielle Ravina of Mauritius sets off for Miss Universe 2021 in style

The 70th edition of Miss Universe pageant, Miss Universe 2021, is all set to be held on 13th December 2021 in Eilat, Israel where Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

The delegates are in the last leg of their preparations and have started to depart for the host country, one of the first four contestants to depart is Anne Murielle Ravina of Mauritius. The queen flew off to London from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport on Saturday.

Anne will first be heading to Los Angeles from the British capital to meet with her sponsors and get her final fittings, styling and grooming done. After which she will leave for the host country, Israel. Parting from her homeland, the queen took to her social media and wrote,” To the Miss Maurice Organization team, thank you for the two weeks in Mauritius. To the Mauritian sponsors, thank you for your trust.The USA team, I can’t wait to meet you: Carl, Hydee, Olivia, Carmela, AT, Thomas, Aaron, Charlie and team, see you soon. Mauritius and Rodrigues, count on me to represent you well at Miss Universe.”

 

 

Anne hails from the idyllic Rodrigues Island in the Indian Ocean and her hobbies include painting and dancing. After completing her studies in Political Science, she now works as a secondary school educator, teaching Humanities, Arts and Design.

The 26-year-old is the very first woman from Rodrigues Island to compete at Miss Universe and is quite familiar with the world of pageantry as she represented Mauritius at Miss World 2018. She has been featured in CNN alongside Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi as one of the most inspirational young women from Africa.

The queen has been working on ground level change through her multiple projects namely, ’Stars Agency’, which focuses on looking after youth, ‘Hers Rodrigues’, a project which inspires women to speak up against domestic violence and help them become independent and ‘Global Shapers Rodrigues Community’, a movement led by youth to bring about positive change through dialogue and action all around the globe.

She looked absolutely ravishing in her blue and orange coat fit designed by Anna Tereshkova as she boarded her flight from the international airport.
