Jameela Uiras was crowned Miss Universe Namibia 2023 at the finale of Miss Namibia 2023 held on Saturday, 8th July 2023 at the MTC Dome in Swakopmund. Jameela succeeds and was crowned by Miss Namibia 2022 Cassia Sharpley.
Jameela Uiras bested nine other finalists to win the crown. She is 23 years of age and a fashion model and marketing strategist from Windhoek. Jameela also bagged the Miss Photogenic award. The newly crowned Miss Namibia 2023 Jameela Uiras’ court included –
Albertina Haimbala, 23, from Mount Etjo
Martha Kautanevali, 26, from Ohangwena
Jameela will represent Namibia at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador. The runners-up are also expected to participate in the Miss World 2024 and Miss Earth 2023 respectively. Shasmida Eiases and Ausha Abrahams rounded out the Top 5 finalists.
