Cassia Sharpley was crowned Miss Namibia 2022 as the finale was held last week at the Windhoek Country Club. The 21-year-old stunning beauty hails from Windhoek and will represent Namibia at Miss Universe 2022 or Miss World 2022.

Cassia is a basic life support paramedic and student at Namibia University of Science and Technology pursuing a degree in emergency medical care (advanced life support). As a Poverty eradication activist, Cassia established the Honeycomb Haven Foundation to help the less fortunate members of her community.

The Namibian beauty queen is also a dancer and model. Miss Namibia 2021 Chelsi Shikongo crowned her at the end of the event finale. During the Q/A round, she was asked, “How different would the world be if it was run by women?” The paramedic impressed the judges and scooped the coveted top spot.

On winning the national crown, Cassia was too overwhelmed to speak but expressed, “I have no words to express my gratitude towards every single person who has stood by my side during this journey,” she said, adding that the people who followed her journey know it hasn't been easy, but she strongly believes it was worth it. Namibia! This is our year. I will make us proud.”
