Miss Nicaragua 2020, the 20th edition of Miss Nicaragua, hosted its finale yesterday night on 8th August 2020 where fan-favourite Ana Marcelo was crowned the new queen and will now represent Nicaragua at Miss Universe 2020. Miss Universe Nicaragua 2019 Inés López Sevilla crowned her successor at the end of the event finale. The event was broadcasted live on VOS TV at 7 PM.
Ana Marcelo was a fan-favourite ever since the beginning of the competition. The 23-year-old performed with absolute sincerity and dedication throughout the contest. She has graduated with a degree in Agro-industrial Engineering from the University of Engineering, UNI-North Estelí. Ana is not new to the pageantry as won the title of Miss Teen America 2015 at the age of 19. The newly crowned Miss Nicaragua 2020 Ana Marcelo’s court included –
First Runner-up – Geyssell Garcia representing Chontales
Second Runner-up – Cindy Bustamante representing Chinandega
Third Runner-up – Magdalena Jarquin representing Siuna
Ana bested seven other contestants to win the national crown. The contestants who competed for Miss Nicaragua 2020, apart from the winner and the runners-up, were Ana Silva Toledo representing Managua (Age: 27 Years), Leyani Luna representing Carazo (Age: 23 Years), Jeniffer Caceres representing Leon (Age: 26 Years), Tamara Rios representing Chinandega (Age: 26 Years).
Ana Marcelo also won Mejor Piel Solenti (Best Hair) along with Mejor Imagen Y Estilo (Best Image and Style) award. The stunning beauty also won the special awards of Miss Pantene and Mejor Rostro Cheeks. Ana Silva Toledo won the Miss Simpatica award. Congratulations to all the winners.
