Alicia Cedrón was chosen by the Miss Peru organization as the Peruvian representative for the Reina Hispanoamericana 2021 which will be held in Bolivia later this year. Alicia has succeeded Miss Peru Hispanoamericana 2019 Pierina Meléndez for the title.
Alicia is 24-years-old and stands 175cm tall. She is an Industrial Engineer and Marketer who is also the creator of the future Fundación Incluyes Perú (Include Peru). She started studying modeling school when she was 15-years-old and at the age of 18 she was able to have a small bridal house jobs and photos. She is passionate about beauty pageants and believes that she will perform her best at the finale of Reina Hispanoamericana 2021.
The diva took to her social media to share the excitement and happiness of being Peru’s representative at Reina Hispanoamericana 2021. She wrote, “I will have the tremendous honour of joining the Peru team and wearing it on my chest, shouting every letter of its name with all the pride in the world. I am still in shock, but enjoying this new challenge that I already assume with all the responsibility and love that it deserves. Infinite thanks Jessica Newton for trusting me to be one of your queens, what I wanted so much. I am too honoured; I will make you proud. Thank You. And thanks to you, my beautiful people, for having supported me from the beginning. All my effort will always be for you. We will work hard, but above all TOGETHER, I can't wait to meet the whole family.”
Include Peru is a small NGO of Alicia that seeks to promote the inclusion of deaf people in her country and in her travels, she has experienced that the awareness of sign language was strong, which Peru as a country lacked in and that’s when she decided to contribute more to this objective. She added, “Being an engineer I learned that success is in good planning and preparation, so I take Sunday and a few minutes at night to plan my activities from the most urgent and important to the not so urgent and not so important. Prioritizing is key.”
The diva is keen on listening to people around her and growing every day as she believes that there is always a scope of improvement. She is professional, committed, focused towards her work and the people she has worked with has described her as professional at work. She mentioned, “You have to learn to take advantage of it and above all, learn to use them in a correct and responsible way.”
Alicia lastly added that what motivates me is the fact that “I know I have a purpose in this world that transcends me and that there is no time to waste. I am grateful for my family, for having a home, for being healthy, for being alive, for having challenges. We must be grateful from the smallest to the negative things that happen to us because they always provide us with a lesson.” She has started to prepare herself for the finale and could be one of the strongest contenders for the title.
