25 Jun 2020 | Priya Bhardwaj

Miss South Africa 2020 is all set to host the annual edition virtually where the representatives to Miss Universe 2020, Miss World 2020 and Miss Supranational 2020 will be crowned. The organization also recently announced that the pageant is going under dramatic and exciting changes for the new decade in which the rebranding includes the launch of a new logo with the tagline: Face Your Power. Embrace Your Future.

Just recently, the Top 15 semi-finalists were revealed out of the 35 contestants who began their journey in the national competition. Chantelle Pretorius, the 24-year-old stunning beauty, has made it to the Top 15 with her absolute sincerity and determination.

Chantelle hails from Tshwane, Gauteng and is a full-time model who spends six to nine months a year working in Europe. Whenever she is not modeling, Chantelle loves traveling and is also a trained nutritionist. She is also finishing her B.Com Business Management degree through Unisa and completed a diploma in nutrition at The Blackford Centre in the UK.

On being a part of Miss South Africa 2020 Top 15, she said, “I am extremely excited and overwhelmed that I get to continue with the Miss South Africa journey and cannot wait to share my heart with the country! I am ready for South Africa to get to know me better. The process has been very enjoyable so far and I’ve had the opportunity to push myself to new limits. The Miss South Africa Organisation has been amazing at managing the contest so far, despite the current logistic hurdles. I am excited for the road ahead.”

Chantelle has modeled for the brand ad campaigns of Kerastase Paris, Calvin Klein Jeans and Underwear, and Michelle Belau’s Pret-A-Porter collection. The model has also completed editorials for Woman & Home and was the cover model of La Perfumeria de Mercadona cover.  Vogue Spain also hand-picked Chantelle Pretorius for a special editorial and video for the iconic magazine.

Chantelle wishes to meet Natanie¨l because of his sense of humour, his cooking and the way he is always unapologetically himself if she wins the crown and gets a chance to be the South African queen. In our opinion, Chantelle definitely deserves a chance to a strong representative of South Africa at an international platform.
