Miss South Africa 2022, 64th edition of Miss South Africa, will be held in August 2022. Lalela Mswane of KwaZulu-Natal will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The winner will represent South Africa at either Miss Universe 2022, Miss World 2022 or Miss Supranational 2023.

The organization announced Top 30 delegates who have begun their journey at the national contest. In a series of features, lets know more about these delegates. Lebogang Mahlangu, from Soshanguve in Tshwane, Gauteng, has made it to Top 30.

Lebogang Mahlangu is 26 years of age and works for a multinational FMCG company as a procurement specialist. She has a BSc. Food Science degree from Stellenbosch University. She is an optimist and believes in working for the betterment of her country.

Mahlangu considers herself resourceful, purposeful and ready. She works on an initiative called TalkEat which encourages meaningful conversations with thought leaders for knowledge to be shared. The organization donates meals for every live Instagram conversation they host. Last year they donated 45,000 meals.

On making it to Top 30 at Miss South Africa 2022, she took to her official social media as she wrote, “I hope you can see the desire, the hope and passion in my eyes! We are one step closer to the crown, Top 30! I am honoured and humbled. I invite you to come on this journey with me. Please help me reach this goal.”

Lebogang Mahlangu is not new to the pageantry as she competed in Miss South Africa 2020. She is passionate about winning and representing South Africa at international level because she wants to use the platform to transform the nation as one. She states that she believes that purpose and profit are not mutually exclusive and we as communities and individuals can help cultivate self-sustaining opportunities to drive social change. She is strong, confident, and determined that she will be able to perform her best at the competition and hope to win it too.
