The 12th edition of Miss Supranational, i.e., Miss Supranational 2021 is all set to be held on 21st August 2021 at Strzelecki Park Amphitheater, Nowy Sacz, Malopolska where Miss Supranational 2019 Anntonia Porsild of Thailand will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Most of the delegates have already arrived in Poland for the pageant and are set to compete for the coveted crown. One of the recent arrivals in Poland is of Miss Supranational South Africa 2020 Thato Thelma Mosehle, who was sent off by her fellow sisters, Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Musid?a and Miss Universe South Africa 2020 Natasha Joubert.

Thato has recently took to her social media to reveal her national costume for the preliminary competition at the 12th Miss Supranational pageant, as she wrote, “Warrior! Ready to fight!” She will be donning the ‘Basotho Warrior’ national costume designed by Sello Medupe.

“When we started the process of creating my national costume I knew I wanted one thing, a SeanaMarena. This blanket is a symbol of pride, warmth and leadership in my Basotho culture. Ke le apere kaofela. For every warrior out there fighting their own battles but most importantly to all my fellow frontline workers. Your selfless sacrifice during this pandemic is nothing short of heroic. Proud to stand alongside you!” Thato added.

Werner Wessels, the Miss South Africa creative director shared, “The Miss Supranational organisation requested a National Outfit that has personal significance to the contestant. With Thato being a Dr. fighting on the frontlines of Covid We wanted to show how she sees not only herself but all of her colleagues, as warriors! We also wanted to incorporate something personal from her culture, a seanamarena, a traditional blanket to symbolise the comfort, warmth and pride she feels for her people. We as an organisation are so proud to showcase an outfit that is truly representative of our country.”

Thato Thelma Mosehle rose to fame as she became one of the two doctors (along with Karishma Ramdev) to compete at Miss South Africa 2020. As she performed with excellence, Thato ended up winning the first runner-up position at the national finals and being appointed as Miss Supranational South Africa.

26 years-old Thato is a model and a medical doctor from Klerksdorp, North West, South Africa. She has been preparing for her international stint taking help and coaching from professionals to pursue her dream of winning the first crown for her country. “South Africa will be a part of this pageant for the first time ever under the Miss South Africa umbrella. I feel like I’m being given the privilege of holding the pen that will write the history for South African women in the competition”, she said.

Mosehlo’s national costume has added another feather in her cap for the international stint. She is authentic, dynamic, compassionate and all set to represent her country and make them proud at Miss Supranational 2021 with her intelligence, diligence and grace.
