Miss Universe organization has announced another addition to the 2022 edition with personalized capes for the swimsuit competition being sent to the official delegates of Miss Universe 2022. The news was officiated by Miss Universe France 2022 Floriane Bascou.

For 2022, the contestants will have a chance to design their own swimsuit competition cape. The contestants have been asked to choose something representing a cause close to their heart or their country to design the cape. It could be some strong message they want to send or something traditional hand-painted on the cape.

Miss Universe France 2022 Floriane Bascou shared a clip of her receiving the blank cape and asking the fans to help her with the design. These customized capes will later be sold at auction and proceeds will go to charity. This is definitely an inventive move by the organization.

Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant, is scheduled to be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana in the United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
