Manita Hang was crowned Miss Universe Cambodia 2022 at the finale held on 15th June 2022 at the Bayon TV Steung Meanchey Studio in Phnom Penh. Right after her coronation, the Cambodian fans pinned their hopes on the stunning beauty to win the first ever-placement, and if they are allowed to dream even bigger, the first ever Miss Universe crown for their country.
Manita Hang is of French-Cambodian heritage. The stunning beauty is fluent in Cambodian, French and English and made quite a mark at the national competition. Ever since her national win, Manita has been busy preparing herself to give her country a strong representation with perfecting her catwalk, improving her communication skills and learning to add content to speeches which is required as a Miss Universe.
On the academic front, Manita attended Lyçée Français René Descartes in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. In December 2021, she graduated from CamEd Business School in Phnom Penh with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. This beauty with brains could be Cambodia’s first ever ticket to atleast place in the Top 10 as she has proven her mettle in the recent months during her preparation.
Standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, Manita is not new to the pageant world. She holds the title of Miss Tourism Cambodia 2015. In November 2016, Manita represented Cambodia at Miss Tourism Metropolitan International 2016 at the Nagaworld Hotel in Phnom Penh. She was second runner-up to Amanda who represented Thailand and finished in the Top 10 at Miss Universe 2020.
Manita has also made it to almost all the pre-arrival hot picks lists being prepared for the pageant. She will leave on 26th December 2022 to USA since its less than a month left for the winner to be crowned at Miss Universe 2022. Miss Universe 2022 will be the 71st Miss Universe pageant which will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
