At the splendid finale of Miss Universe Curacao 2016 held on 2nd October 2016 at the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort, Chanelle de Lau was crowned as the winner. Chanelle succeeds Miss Universe Curaçao 2015 Kanisha Sluis, and will now represent the country at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.

Chanelle defeated 6 other contestantsto clinch the coveted title. The finale of Miss Universe Curaçao 2016 was attended by the reigning Miss USA Deshauna Barber. 21 years old Chanelle stands tall at an astounding height of 5’11” and dons a perfectly toned body.
At the same pageant, Sabrina Namias de Crasto was crowned Miss Hispano America Curaçao 2016 and Nashaira Balentien was crowned Miss World Curaçao 2016, while Liane Bonofacia made it to the runner-up position.
