The coronation night of Miss Universe Myanmar 2022 was held on Saturday, 1st October 2022 at the Grand Ballroom of the Novotel Hotel in Yangon where Zar Li Moe was crowned the new queen as she became the official representative of Myanmar at Miss Universe 2022. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe Myanmar 2020 Thuzar Wint Lwin.
Zar Li Moe hails from Bhamo, Kachin. The stunning beauty is a commercial model who also bagged Miss Royal by Lucky Diamond, Miss Beautiful Smile, and Face of Pan Aesthetics awards. Not new to the pageantry, she won Miss Tourism and Culture Universe Bhamo 2020. Zar Li Moe is 20 years of age and bested thirteen other candidates to win the national crown.
The newly crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2022 Zar Li Moe’s court included –
1st Runner Up - Ya Mone
2nd Runner Up - Thinzar Min Htet
3rd Runner Up - Kendra Erika
4th Runner Up - Kay Zin Khant
On winning the national crown, Zar Li Moe took to her official social media as she wrote, “A night that I’ll never forget in my life! A night that my dream came true! A night that I can prove myself that can do it and beyond grateful! Thank you each and everyone of you who’ve supported me along my journey.”
Myanmar has yet to win the Miss Universe pageant. The country's highest placement was in 2020 with Thuzar Wint Lwin who placed in the Top 21. Myanmar is returning to Miss Universe after one year of absence.
