The Miss Universe Philippines organization is all set to host the coronation ceremony for Miss Universe Philippines 2021 on 25th September 2021. The organization announced the schedule of activities and events for the competition during the homecoming press conference arranged for the phenomenal queen, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo, on 14th July 2021.

The organization recently announces the names of Top 100 phenomenal women who will be part of the national pageant and compete for the crown and to earn an opportunity to represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2021. This year’s batch includes of stunning women, some of whom were much anticipated as candidates this year.

One such name that emerged as one of the most looked forward to, is of Muareen Wroblewitz, a 22-year old Filipino-German model who is best known for winning the fifth season of Asia's Next Top Model. Maureen was first spotted during the screening of Aces and Queens for Miss Universe Philippines 2021 and was recently confirmed as an official delegate for the pageant.

The Star Magic artist surprised her fans as she joined the national pageant, after declining to give definite answers when asked by the fans and press earlier. Maureen Wroblewitz took to her social media to apologize to her followers and announce her plans for the competition. “Surprise! I apologize for the white lies. As difficult as it was, I had to keep this a secret,” she said in her post.

Talking about her decision to enter the pageant industry she said, “It’s true what I’ve said in my interviews. I’ve always considered dipping my toes in pageantry and committing to it when I felt ready. It was not until I received my sign from the Universe, that I knew I couldn’t wait for that feeling of readiness and that I’d have to take that first step in order to feel ready.” She also further said that she did not want to regret not taking her chance at Miss Universe Philippines this year.

“I’ve shared the importance of getting out of your comfort zone as a means to grow as a person and that’s what I’m doing once again. This feels new and to be honest, I’m terrified but I’ve come to realize that I just fear the unknown...What I fear most though is living a life of regrets. I don’t want to grow old thinking that I should’ve joined, alternatively I would like to say ‘I’m glad I’ve joined,” she added.

The model also thanked her fans for their support, especially on social media as her name trended on Twitter after the organization’s announcement. She said, “I hope through this I inspire you to reach for the Universe. It’s all up to you. You can achieve anything you put your mind to and sometimes if you believe hard enough the Universe will conspire in helping you succeed.”

Maureen has been a fan favourite for the title for a long time now. With her stunning features and an experienced timeline of modelling, she can prove to be a strong contender for the title and an ideal choice to fill in as Rabiya’s successor for Philippines at Miss Universe 2021.
