Miss Universe Philippines 2022, the 3rd edition of the Miss Universe Philippines, will be held on 30th April 2022at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Representing Arayat, Pampanga, Marinel Timoteo Tungol is 27 years old and is an artist and architect by profession. She went to the St. Scholastica's Academy Pampanga and is a graduate in BS Architecture from Holy Angel University. Along with being an artist herself, she also enjoys visiting galleries and museums and her social media clearly depicts her love for the same.

Most recently she featured her art at the art initiative launched by The LausGroup of Companies called, HeART of Central Luzon, showcasing the vibrant Kapampangan culture and craftsmanship featuring some of the region’s award-winning and up-and-coming local artists.

Also celebrating the International Women’s Day, Marinel showcased her art the National Women’s Month celebration with the theme of ‘Enigma of a Woman’ among other female local artists. Making it to the Top 50 the diva is channeling the beauty queen within her and can definitely prove to be a dark horse in the competition.
