Miss Universe Philippines 2022, the 3rd edition of the Miss Universe Philippines, will be held on 30th April 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Representing Davao city, Myrell Martinez has made it to the Top 50 delegates of Miss Universe Philippines 2022. 25 years-old Myrell is a graduate with a degree in Psychology and has a Diploma in Culinary as she is currently an aspiring chef. She is currently working in the United States.

The diva decided to join the competition because she wanted to do what she loves for a good cause. Myrell is a mental health advocate and wants to use her voice to raise awareness, fight stigma and to support others. Diagnosed with depression years ago, one piece of advice she wants to share with those suffering is to not suffer in silence. She feels, “If I was able to beat all the battles I had to face before, so can you.”

Not new to pageantry, the diva represented Davao Del Norte at the Miss Earth Philippines 2018 pageant where she advocated to promote the use of eco-friendly products to contribute to the sustainability of Philippines’ environment. Even though she was one of the strongest delegates then, the diva finished unplaced. She is definitely much stronger and determined towards the national crown and has put all of her hard work and determination in her preparation for the crown.
