Miss Universe Philippines 2021, the 2nd edition of the national pageant, was held tonight at the Henann Resort Convention Center, Alona Beach, Panglao, Bohol where twenty-eight stunning ladies competed for the national crown and Beatrice Luigi Gomez was crowned the new queen at the end of the event finale. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo and will now represent her country at Miss Universe 2021.

Beatrice has created history by becoming the first ever openly gay contestant from Philippines to represent the country at Miss Universe. The stunning beauty represented Cebu city at the national competition and was a front-runner for the crown ever since the beginning of the competition. In 2020, she represented San Fernando at Binibining Cebu 2020 and won the title and won the right to represent Cebu City at Miss Universe Philippines 2021. In January 2021, she decided to undergo the basic citizens military course training that would allow her to be part of the Philippine Navy Reserve Unit. If it’s for you, it’s gonna happen. If not, there’s always a next time.”
