Official Press Presentation of Candidates of Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019

Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 is all set to crown its new queen as the contestants were finally introduced to the media after weeks of auditioning and challenges at the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico. The finale is slated to happen on 13th June 2019 at the Luis A. Ferré Fine Arts Center where twenty-nine candidates will compete for the coveted crown.

Also present at the conference was Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2018 Kiara Liz Ortega who offered her advice and inspired the contestants to perform exceedingly well in the upcoming competition. She also expressed her gratitude to the organization, including Denise Quiñones. Denise was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2001 and she went on to win the Miss Universe 2001 title becoming the fourth woman from Puerto Rico to win the Miss Universe title and is now the national director of the Miss Universe Puerto Rico franchise.

For the national competition, various acclaimed artists and experts are joining the pageant to provide the girls with the best of the best; Danny Lugo will be the choreographer who is behind the success of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, 'Despacito', and the creator of the most successful dances of important celebrities in the music industry, as well as being a professor at the Broadway Academy Dance Center in New York.

The Puerto Rican Top Model, Rosa Lourdes Ortiz will be in charge of the runway and scenic projection workshops of the candidates. Dr Carlos Portocarrero will maintain the balance and harmony of external beauty with the inner beauty of women. Sara Pastor, life coach and communicator, will be responsible for the projection, image, interviews and emotional management. Ildefonso Torres, owner of B.It Salon, will be in charge of highlighting the beauty of the candidates, as well as the personal arrangement of the queen while to highlight the spectacular smiles of the candidates, Dr Carlos Izcoa will work with dental aesthetics.

A weekly summary, Road to Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019, will be provided by the reigning queen, where everything that happens in front of and behind the cameras will be shown.

The candidates selected and all set to compete for the title of Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 include a lot of exemplary beauties, who not only deserve the national title but also have the potential to make a mark at the international stage. The candidates, this year, include a lot of fresh faces and the choice of candidates is a reflection of the work being done by Denise ever since she became the national director. Last year, Kiara Ortega was one of the hot favourites to win the title of Miss Universe 2018, which was eventually won by Catriona Gray of the Philippines. Kiara was placed Top 5 at the finale of the international pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand.
