Ukarine’s Anastasiia Subbota and Greece’s Erika Kolani denied visa for Miss Universe 2019

In an unfortunate news surrounding the pageantry, Miss Universe Greece 2019 Erika Kolani and Miss Universe Ukraine 2019 Anastasiia Subbota were denied their US Visas to compete at the international pageant which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia.

There were serious accusations on IMG which handles the Miss Universe Organization that they do not take the pageant organization seriously as thus create problems for the delegates to make necessary arrangements last minute. The date and venue of the contest was also announced in a very short time before the competition which brings problems for the directors and national organizations to do the visa paperwork in a very short time and in some cases (like these two) the time is not enough.

Ukarine’s Anastasiia Subbota and Greece’s Erika Holani denied visa for Miss Universe 2019

Erika Holani took to her official social media to reveal that she won’t be able to participate in the pageant anymore while Anastasiia Subbota has her final interview today where she will get the last chance to obtain her visa. If she gets it, she might be able to still compete in Miss Universe 2019.

We are still hoping that the problems get resolved soon and the countries still get to participate in Miss Universe 2019.
