Miss World 1955 Susana Duijm from Venezuela passes away at the age of 79. The Venezuelan beauty suffered a cerebrovascular accident last Thursday and was induced into a medical coma, which she never recovered from.

The Venezuelan beauty queen was the first Latina to win the Miss World title. Susana was also a radio personality in Venezuela. She had her own show with the name, “De tono a tono con Susana” and another miniseries of radio episodes, titled “La vuelta al mundo en 80 años,”that implied to her upcoming 80th birthday coming up on August 11.

Dujim also participated at the Miss universe 1955 and placed among the semi- finalists. Her daughter was crowned Miss Venezuela World in 1983.

Super Stereo 98.1 posted on Twitter... “It is with great sadness that the we announce the passing of our Susana Duijm, may she rest in peace,”

Miss Venezuela Organization also tweeted their condolences... “La Organización @MissVzla lamenta la pérdida de Susana Djuim. Nuestras condolencias para sus familiares y amigos” (The organization @MissVzla laments the loss of Susana Duijm. Our condolences to her family and friends).
