The finale of Miss World 2021, the 70th edition of Miss World, will be held on 16th March 2022 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In a recent announcement made by the Miss World organization, Top 40 delegates were selected to enter the final leg of the competition.

In a series of features, here are the forty delegates, in no particular order, (15 from the fast-track competitions and 25 through judges’ choice) who will fly to Puerto Rico for the coronation night. Sadé Greenwood representing Sri Lanka has secured a spot in Top 40 by being one of the judges’ choice winners.

Sadé Greenwood is 19 years of age and stands 175 cm tall. A biracial girl, born and raised in the sunny coasts of Colombo, Sri Lanka, Greenwood’s father is half British and half German while her mother is Sri Lankan. She is currently waiting to continue her higher studies in international relations in Japan.

The stunning Sri Lankan beauty is a social ambassador for ‘The Pearl Protectors’, an organization which strives to protect and create awareness about marine environment. She also participated in an animal rights silent protest in order to promote and ensure animal welfare in her country.

Growing up, Greenwood’s house was always filled with rescue animals as she comes from a family that takes pride in their infinite love for all animals. This is where her deep love for animals and marine conservation was born. Sade will definitely be a strong contender for the international crown.

Sri Lanka last competed in the international competition in 2019 under the delegation of Miss World Sri Lanka 2019 Dewmini Thathsarani, who was highly appreciated for her performance at the event but unfortunately remained unplaced.
