Miss World Philippines 2022, the 11th edition of the national pageant, was held tonight in the Mall of Asia Arena where Gwendolyne Fourniol of Negros Occidental was crowned the new queen. She bested 35 other candidates in the competition. Fourniol succeeds and was crowned by Miss World Philippines 2020 Tracy Maureen Perez.
Along with her, four other women were crowned alongside Fourniol; Alison Black from Las Piñas City was crowned Miss Supranational Philippines 2022, Ashley Subijano Montenegro from Makati City was crowned Miss Eco Philippines 2022, Ingrid Santamaria from Parañaque City was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2022, Beatriz Mclelland from Aklan was crowned Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2022. They will go on to represent the Philippines in their respective international competitions abroad.
Runners-up include Marikina City’s Justine Beatrice Felizarta as Miss World Philippines Tourism 2022, and San Juan City’s Cassandra Bermeo Chan as Miss World Philippines Charity 2022.
Top 11 also included Erika Kristensen, Kayla Ariadne Tiongson, Maria Gigante and Paula Ortega while Top 20 also included Simone Nadine Bornilla, Erika Vinculado, Tsina Jade Chu, Anje Mae Manipol, Charyzah Esparrago, Aliana Joaquin, Natazha Vea Bautista, Patricia McGee and Lady Justerinnie Santos.
