The coronation of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2022 was held on Sunday, 4th December 2022 at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City where Iona Gibbs was crowned the new queen. She succeeds and was crowned by her predecessor Mutya ng Pilipinas 2019 Klyza Castro. Iona is expected to represent the Philippines at the next Miss Asia Pacific International pageant.

Iona bested 39 other delegates to win the crown. Iona is 18 years of age and a Filipino-Canadian singer-songwriter and model. She represented Bataan at the competition and also bagged the Best in Long Gown award.

Also, Shannon Robinson of Makati City was adjudged Mutya ng Pilipinas – Luzon, Megan Deen Campbell of Lapu-Lapu City was awarded Mutya ng Pilipinas – Visayas and Marcelyn Bautista of Tarlac City was adjudged Mutya ng Pilipinas – Mindanao respectively.

Mutya ng Pilipinas 2022 was the 52nd edition of the national pageant and was held after a 2-year break due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Congratulations.
