The 60th edition of Binibining Pilipinas, held on July 7, 2024, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines, was a spectacular showcase of beauty, grace, and cultural pride. The prestigious event saw the crowning of Myrna Esguerra of Abra as Binibining Pilipinas International 2024 and Jasmin Bungay of Pampanga as Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2024, heralding a new era in Philippine pageantry.



A Night of Firsts and Elegance

This year’s pageant was marked by the introduction of stunning new crowns, designed by the renowned Filipino jeweler Manny Halasan. The intricately crafted crowns symbolized the brilliance and resilience of the Filipina spirit, adding a touch of grandeur to the already glamorous event.

The selection process for the contestants began on February 13, 2024, with the final submission of applications on March 22, 2024. The rigorous screening and selection of the official candidates took place on April 5, 2024. The competition was fierce, with 40 exceptional candidates vying for the coveted titles.

Historic All-Women Panel of Judges

For the first time in the history of Binibining Pilipinas, an all-woman panel of judges presided over the competition, making it a truly empowering event. The esteemed panel included Conchitina Sevilla-Bernardo, a member of the Binibining Pilipinas executive committee and chairman of the board of judges; Rhea Tan, a beauty and wellness entrepreneur; Bea Santiago, Miss International 2013; Fifi Sharma, a volleyball player; Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2015; Gloria Diaz, Miss Universe 1969; Andrea Rubio, Miss International 2023 from Venezuela; and Margie Moran, Miss Universe 1973. This groundbreaking move highlighted the strength and influence of women in the pageant industry.



Crowning Glory: The Winners

At the end of the glittering evening, Angelica Lopez crowned Myrna Esguerra of Abra as Binibining Pilipinas International 2024. Esguerra, who captivated the audience with her poise and intelligence, also bagged several major and special awards, including Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Bb. Urban Smiles, and Bb. Philippine Airlines. Her exceptional performance throughout the competition earned her the top spot and the opportunity to represent the Philippines at Miss International 2025.

Jasmin Bungay of Pampanga was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2024 by Anna Lakrini. Bungay’s charm and eloquence won the hearts of the judges and the audience, securing her the chance to compete in The Miss Globe 2024.

Noteworthy Performances and Awards

Christal Jean dela Cruz from Zambales was named the 1st Runner-Up, while Trisha Martinez of Pila, Laguna, secured the 2nd Runner-Up position. Both contestants displayed remarkable talent and beauty, making them stand out in a highly competitive field.



The Top 15 finalists included Marikit Manaois of Baguio, Mae Kimberly de Luna of Caloocan, Roella Solis of Calumpit, Vienne Sirin Feucht of Calamba, Shannen Manzano of General Santos, Tracy Sunio of Bacolod, Monica Acuno of Kalayaan, Kara Daniella Villarosa of Negros Occidental, Phoebe Godinez of Lapu-Lapu, Carmella Joy Cuaresma of Aurora, and Samantha Viktoria Acosta of Bulacan.

Special awards were also given to outstanding contestants. Maria Flordeliz Mabao of Rizal won the Face of Binibini, while Shannen Manzano and Samantha Viktoria Acosta were named World Vision Ambassadors for Children. Monica Acuno, Myrea Manely Caccam, Joyce Ann Garduque, Zianah Joy Famy, and Myrna Esguerra were recognized for their exceptional national costumes.
