Vanessa Velásquez crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2020

Reinado de El Salvador 2020 held its coronation night yesterday at the Auditorio Fepade in San Salvador where eleven stunning finalists competed for the crown and Vanessa Velasquez was crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2020 at the end of the event finale.

Vanessa Vela´squez competed with absolute sincerity and dedication at the national contest. The 24-year-old beauty speaks Spanish and English. She recently earned her bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Escuela de Comunicación Mónica Herrera in Santa Tecla, El Salvador.

In 2019, Velasquez had the opportunity to work for Dior in Paris, France. The San Salvador native has been modelling since she was 11 years old. She was a front-runner for the crown ever since the beginning of the competition and was a part of our favourites for the crown as well.

The newly crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2020 Vanessa Vela´squez’s court included –

1st Runner-up – Alexandra Torrez

2nd Runner-up – Kenia Rivas

From the eleven stunning finalists, only five made it to the Top at the finale which included Vanessa Vela´squez, Alexandra Torrez, Kenia Rivas, Tiffany Katota and Levi Toney.

Apart from Vanessa Velasquez being crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2020, Levi Toney was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2020 and Tiffany Katota was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2020. They will represent in the upcoming editions of their respective international pageants.

Miss Universe El Salvador 2019 Zuleika Soler Aragón and Reina Hispanoamericana El Salvador 2019 Cristina Perdomo attended the coronation night to crown their successors. Perdomo was not able to compete internationally as she was replaced by Gabriela Acevedo who remained unplaced in Reina Hispanoamericana 2019.

The eleven stunning beauties who competed for Reinado de El Salvador were Diana Calderon, Andrea Reinosa, Alexandra Torres, Levi Toney, Kenia Rivas, Gabriela Alfaro, Tiffany Katota, Rebeca Martinez, Melanie Lobos, Vanessa Velasquez, and Valerya Melendez.
