The gala coronation of Miss Colombia 2017 (Senorita Colombia 2017) was held on 20th March 2017. At the conclusion of the pageant, Laura Gonzalez Ospina was crowned as the winner, and Laura will now represent Colombia at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. At the same pageant, Vanessa Pulgarin was crowned as Miss International Colombia 2017, and will now represent the country at the Miss International 2017 finals.

24 year old Vanessa stands at a height of 5’7” and is a social communication student at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. She is also a model by profession. Vanessa describes herself as a woman full of illusions, projects and dreams that will not only benefit her, but her entire environment. In her free time, she likes to travel, to learn and to know the different cultures of the world. At the conclusion of the finale of Miss Colombia 2017, Yennifer Hernandez was titled as the First Princess, Vanessa Dominguez was adjudged Second Princess and Maria Fernanda finished as Third Princess.

The finale event was a night full of musical performances. Miguel Bosé, one of the most beloved international artists in Colombia, exhibited his musical expertise. The finale of Miss Colombia 2017 started with the introduction of the 23 beautiful contestants. The girls walked the stage donning their respective national costumes. After the national costume round, which was accompanied with a musical treat to the audience, it was then time for the girls to sashay the ramp in their respective swimsuits, evening gowns and so on.
