Miss World 2015 : Info

Miss World 2015, the 65th edition of Miss World, was held on 19th December 2015 at the outdoor arena of the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. Mireia Lalaguna of Spain was crowned the new queen by her predecessor Rolene Strauss of South Africa at the end of the event finale. 114 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Spain created history by winning the first crown for her country. Since this year, the swimsuit competition (Miss World Beach Beauty) has been officially removed from the pageant.

Sofia Nikitchuk of Russia and Maria Harfanti of Indonesia were adjudged first and second runners-up respectively. Top 5 also included Sanneta Myrie from Jamaica and Valerie Abou Chacra from Lebanon.

Top 11 also included Tess Alexander from Australia, Hinarere Taputu from France, Lisa Punch from Guyana, Hillarie Parungao from Philippines, Liesl Laurie from South Africa, Tr?n Ng?c Lan Khuê from Vietnam (People’s Choice Winners) while Top 20 also included Catharina Choi Nunes from Brazil, Yuan Lu from China, Camila Marañón from Ecuador, Regina Vandysheva from Kazakhstan, Margot Hanekamp from Netherlands, Deborah Lambie from New Zealand, Leanne McDowell from Northern Ireland, Marta Palucka from Poland, Mhairi Fergusson from Scotland and Ajaa Deng from South Sudan.
